About Me

My name is Lori Arnold, I love my family, grand-dog Sam (whom you might see at lessons), and have over 48 years of piano teaching experience!
I began my study of music at the age of 6, where I begged my mother to teach me. My father owned a music store and was quite an accomplished musician, so music in our household was second nature!

I then started my piano teaching career at the age of 13 where I accompanied 150+ voice choirs for 5 consecutive years of the Messiah.

I have taken piano courses and classes from Sacramento State University professors and studied Piano Pedagogy at Dixie State University with Dr. Nancy Allred for 4 years. I was on the faculty with Dr. Allred while teaching Castle Rock Piano Camps at Dixie State College.

I have been a member of the Utah Music Teachers Association, and I maintain a piano studio of 70+ students. I also was the former owner of Music Works, a retail music store in St. George, Utah from 2007-2016.

Because of my love of teaching and my love of watching students progress through learning to perform, I have founded and organized a yearly piano adjudication event, Zions Piano Performing Arts Festival (ZPPAF), of which I am the director. This evaluation is open every April to all piano teachers in the Hurricane and St. George areas, and adjudicates over 150 students each year!
